For some time, a group of askonim have noticed that sholom bayis cases in the Crown Heights community were not dealt with effectively. Many couples were left struggling, either moving along miserably – their little ones privy to the discord – or the family sadly dissolved.
Some tried traditional therapy, successfully so, but for others, it wasn’t the solution. Either…
It put too much pressure on one spouse, making them feel blamed – and thus more resistant to change.
The professional setting lacked the personal touch, making it an uncomfortable experience.
It was costly, and cash-strapped couples could not afford to continue the ongoing sessions.

Bayis Neman takes a unique approach to sholom bayis. Our team of madrichim is trained by world-renowned expert Rabbi Yirmiyahu Katz of New York, whose methodology is rooted in the Torah.
We recognize that no two people — or marriages — are the same. In fact, individuals evolve over time, and so do their challenges. That’s why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. While conventional practice often relies on rigid, predefined techniques, our madrichim draw on Torah sources, chassidus, deep Jewish wisdom, and siyatta dishmaya to guide couples in a way that meets them where they are.
They listen closely, explore the underlying issues, and craft a personalized approach suited to each couple’s set of circumstances. If needed, they adjust strategies mid-course, responding to progress in real time rather than being bound to a fixed protocol.
And most importantly, their goal is not to keep you dependent—it’s to help you move forward. With Hashem’s help, our madrichim aim to guide you toward resolution and harmony within weeks, so you can ‘graduate’ from their support and embrace a renewed, joyful marriage.

A prolific author, Rabbi Katz has written numerous seforim on Torah, Jewish festivals, avodas Hashem, and halacha, enriching the Jewish literary landscape. His expertise in mikvaos has also made him a sought-after consultant for communities worldwide, ensuring the highest halachic standards.

Graduated from a yeshiva education, followed by his current shluchos on Rutgers University Campus, where he has been the go-to point of support for over 15 years. Having spent a lot of time under the tutelage of Rabbi Yirmiyahu Katz, of New York, R’ Shaya is trained and skilled to provide this much-needed chizuk to his former students, as they embark on their futures, as well as to new couples who come his way through Bayis Neman.

His approach blends firsthand experiential knowledge and a keen ability to recognize underlying causes of personal challenges, to empower individuals to achieve lasting change.
Is a veteran kallah teacher in Toronto, Ontario, with years of experience guiding Jewish kallos in preparing for marriage. As an educator, mentor and mikvah attendant, she has helped countless women navigate the transition into married life, teaching them the values of love, respect, and family purity.
